　　Worth,worthy,worth (one’s) while,worthwhile

　　这几个词都表示“值得”,但：

　　1)worth只作表语,表示“价值…”或“值得…”,多接名词、代词、或动名词的主动语态,例如：

　　This dictionary is worth 150 yuan.

　　The novel; is worth reading.(or It is worth reading the novel.)

　　2)worthy表示“值得、相称或配得上”时,作表语,接不定式被动语态,或of加名词、动名词被动语态;”表示可敬的“时,作定语用,例如：

　　his behavior is worthy of praise.

　　His behavior is worthy of being praised.

　　His behavior is worthy to be praised.

　　He is a worthy teacher.

　　3)worth (one’s)while只作表语.worth while 后多接动名词,worth one’s while后多接不定式,注意具体用法：

　　It’s worth while reading this story.

　　Reading this story is worth while.

　　To read this story is worth while.

　　It’s worth your while to read this story.

　　4)worthwhile作定语用较多;也可作表语,例如：

　　I thing it is a worthwhile job,and my attempt is worthwhile.
